Love Dunfermline Abbey?
We would love your support!

Donate

Unlike public libraries or museums, The Abbey Church of Dunfermline does not benefit from any Central or Local Government support.

Donate

It currently costs £558 per day to keep and maintain the Ministry of the historic Dunfermline Abbey which is wholly met by members of the congregation and donations from visitors.
Donating allows us to continue to offer ministry in Dunfermline and welcome over 25,000 people every year to discover the Abbey’s place in Scotlands rich history.
Online Giving
It’s easy to contribute online with a one of donation or a monthly payment. You can also leave a message as to why you’ve donated. Messages can include a reason why you have donated, such as donating to mark weddings in the Abbey, in recognition of a loved one or just as a thank you for an enjoyable visit.
If you are donating via a credit or debit card and are a UK taxpayer please consider selecting ‘Share my address with Dunfermline Abbey’ during checkout and we will be able to collect a further 25% of Gift Aid from the UK Government on your donation. (detail of our Privacy Policy)

Donate during your visit

We don’t charge for admission to the Abbey Church. However if everyone who visited contributed a suggested £5 donation, it would raise thousands! So please share what you can in our collection boxes. Thank you if you have already done so.

Alternatively if you would like to give by a more traditional method or discuss a donation please get in touch with our treasurer at the address below.
