The walk is just over 3 miles, and purposefully heads downhill.
The route taken aims to follow the paths that the monks from Dunfermline Abbey may have taken as they headed to Limekilns.
The Rev Dr MaryAnn Rennie will lead the walk.
Walkers are asked to ensure they are dressed for the weather and wearing appropriate footwear for walking in the countryside. Some of the paths follow pavements or laid paths, but there is a section of the walk that crosses into the countryside. There are no significant hills.
Walkers should also be aware that some of the path is next to a busy road or requires crossing a major road.
Once we reach Limekilns, walkers are to make their own way home (or back to Dunfermline Abbey). Stagecoach no 6 leaves from outside the Bruce Arms Hotel and takes 16 minutes to return to Dunfermline.
Some of course may want to retrace their steps or visit one of the local eating places for lunch.
