The modern St Margaret Pilgrimage was reinstated in 2015 after a long hiatus, thanks to the efforts of Archbishop Leo Cushley. The event typically takes place on the Sunday closest to St Margaret’s feast day (10th June).
The day begins with prayers at St Margaret’s Cave, a site where she was known to pray, followed by a service at her tomb in Dunfermline Abbey. The pilgrimage culminates in a Holy Mass at St Margaret’s Memorial Church, celebrated by the Archbishop.
