01

Worship Services

Join us for our main worship service every Sunday at 10:30 am. The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the second Sundays of March, June, September and December.
Lunchtime prayers are held each Wednesday at 12.15pm in the Memorial Chapel.

All are welcome to all our services.

02

Music

Music has played a key role in the worship at Dunfermline Abbey ever since it was founded by the Benedictines in the twelfth century. Back then, music was sung at every service throughout the day. Today, the Abbey Choristers are glad to keep this tradition going by singing at services in the Abbey.

03

Children, Youth, & Families

Dunfermline Abbey’s programme is vibrant and varied, ensuring that families can find creative, spiritual, and fun activities throughout the year, both indoors and outdoors. Whether you’re looking for weekly creative sessions, special events, or ways for children to engage in worship, there’s something for all ages and interests.

04

Pilgrim Pastor

For hundreds of years Dunfermline has provided countless pilgrims with an inspiring destination. Its magnificent medieval abbey and current church is the burial place of many of Scotland’s kings and queens.
The Pilgrim Pastor leads guided walks along the Fife Pilgrim Way, incorporating prayer, reflection, and conversation, while providing historical and spiritual information to pilgrims.
