The Christingle Service at the Abbey Church of Dunfermline is a service for all ages, however it probably appeals most to children. During the service there is some carol singing, with prayers and a story. The name of the service comes from the Christingle we will make and then light during the service. Using an orange, some sweets and a candle, there is an explanation and a decoration to take home and place on Christmas tables so that the meaning of Christmas remains to the fore throughout the day.
