The Monks’ Garden

Planted in May 2023, the beginnings of a small garden offers the opportunity for children, young people and others to participate in growing vegetables, herbs and flowers associated with the monastic era of the Abbey. We hope to create a small team of local people, who will tend and care for the garden on a regular basis. They will be supported by visits from Abbey Kids and the youth organisations, and others who might want to be involved in the planting, but also the tasting and eating of the fruits of their labour.
