Easter Sunday started very early with a service outside the Abbey at Dawn (6.30am!). Then at the 11am service we decorated the cross with flowers and celebrated Family Communion. The morning concluded with everyone enjoying Easter egg rolling in the Garden for Heroes.
This year’s Palm Sunday procession was very special, and featured Sydney the donkey. We started at the Mercat Cross before walking down the High Street to the Abbey. The Moderator of the Church of Scotland, Rt Rev Dr Derek Browning visited the Abbey on the occasion of the launch of the Bi-Centenary Celebrations. The day started with worship where the moderator preached and was concluded with a lunch and entertainment in the Glen Pavilion.

The Third Sunday in Advent was very busy at the Abbey with the Nativity, a Baptism and the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Service.
