The Abbey Church of Dunfermline will not be opening for private prayer during this time. This has been a difficult decision because we know many find comfort and solace within the space.
We recognise that our building has a dual purpose for some and, while some visit for prayer, others come to encounter the history of Scotland. To ensure that people follow the Government advice to stay at home, we feel that this is the right decision and would encourage members of the congregation and of the community to take time for prayer at home.
We will be continuing our live-stream worship on Sunday mornings. Where and how that happens is under review almost daily.
