On Wednesday 22nd June, the Provost and Members of Fife Council and representatives of forces associations gather in the Garden for Heroes for a Commemoration of Sgt John Erskine who received a VC for “conspicuous bravery” during the First World War. During the ceremony his niece, Lt. Col. Helen Homewood MBE offered a memory of him and a stone was dedicated.
The gathered crowd then made their way to the Glen Pavillion for a Flag-raising Ceremony.
